farewell but not good-bye

Yesterday was the farewell at church for Harvey and Gladys.  Harvey grew up in this church, they were married there, and they have both served in various capacities there for many years.  During church, Pastor Frank called them to the front, along with Dean Reddig, one of the deacons, to present them with a gift.  Many nice things were said about their years in the church by Pastor Frank and Dean.  Harvey and Gladys both said a few words as well.  After the service, we all shared in a potluck meal.
